“Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you.”

There is no more consequential ministry relationship in the life of a second chair leader than the relationship with a Lead Pastor. The importance of the spiritual covering, visionary leadership and pastoral wisdom that flow from this relationship cannot be overstated.
In ministry, we serve God, not man. But in serving God, we do so by faithfully serving Lead Pastors. Our pastors have been entrusted with stewardship of our churches, and how we hold up their arms is one of our primary contributions to the Kingdom.
Our pastors are a gift from God to our lives. May they feel our honor, appreciation and alignment today, and every day.

Jesus, may you find us as faithful stewards of all you have entrusted to us. For the glory of your name and the advancement of your Church.
“Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.”
Hebrews 13:17 NIV
When was the last time you prayed for your pastor? In the toughest moments where challenges are real, may prayer truly be our first response, not our last resort.
Sometimes the most important thing to a pastor is to know they’re not staring down the battle alone. Find confidence in the fact that your pastor is being led by the Lord.
Living under authority provides ultimate protection. God honors those who recognize and honor authority.
Pastors often describe the “weight” of their role. Don’t assume your pastor woke up encouraged today. Take time today to express your honor.
There is nothing more valuable to a pastor than a second chair leader who says “I am with you” and works effectively toward their common mission.
